Terms of Service & End User License Agreement

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using TravelLog (the "App"), operated by an independent individual developer based in New York, United States ("we," "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the App.

2. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the store from which you obtained it (the Apple App Store or Google Play). You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App — trips, notes, photos, comments, profile details, and other materials ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the App's features to you and to the people you choose to share with. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for content already shared with others or retained as required by law.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to share it.

4. Acceptable use and zero tolerance for objectionable content

TravelLog includes user-generated content and social features. We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post, share, or transmit content that is:

• unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, or abusive;
• sexually explicit, obscene, or exploitative, especially involving minors;
• defamatory, fraudulent, or invasive of another person's privacy;
• infringing on intellectual property or other rights; or
• spam, malware, or otherwise harmful.

You also agree not to abuse, harass, or threaten other users.

5. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement

You can report objectionable content or abusive users from within the App (or by emailing armgardtj@outlook.com). We will review reports and act on objectionable content and abusive users — including removing content and ejecting or banning the offending user — within 24 hours of receiving a report. We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, with or without notice.

6. Subscriptions (TravelLog Pro)

TravelLog Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: US $4.99 per month or US $39.99 per year, billed through your App Store or Google Play account. There is no free trial. Prices may vary by region and are shown in-app before you purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price until you cancel; you manage and cancel in your store account, not in the App.

• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• iOS (App Store): cancel in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions at least 24 hours before the current period ends; otherwise the next period is charged.
• Android (Google Play): cancel any time in Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for and are not charged again.
• Uninstalling the App or deleting your TravelLog account does not cancel a subscription — billing continues through Apple or Google until you cancel it there.
• Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from under its own policies.

7. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (including Google Firebase, Google Places / Maps / Sign-In, Google AdMob, AeroDataBox, Flightera, OpenStreetMap / OSRM, and Anthropic). Your use of features powered by them is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

8. Ads

The free tier displays ads served by Google AdMob. Pro removes ads. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising identifiers are used.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated suggestions, flight data, place data, or travel times are accurate. Verify important travel information independently.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR US $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so some may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my account). We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms.

12. Apple-specific terms

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, this EULA is between you and us only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it. The App must be used in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. For any App maintenance, support, warranty, product-liability, or intellectual-property claims, the responsibilities described in Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

If you have a dispute with us, please first raise it informally by emailing armgardtj@outlook.com so we can try to resolve it directly. If the dispute cannot be resolved that way, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York, United States, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
